The Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi, Spa Resort & Marina is a luxury boutique resort situated on the privately-owned uninhabited virgin island of Dhonakulhi, in North Maldives.

A tranquil haven, The Island Hideaway sits on its own 1.4 km long, crescent-shaped island, complete with lush green vegetation, long white beaches and an adjacent house reef. 43 Spacious, private luxury villas are tucked into the lush greenery and scattered along the beach-line some 30 metres apart from one another, providing the ultimate in privacy. All of the Island’s villas boast breathtaking panoramic views over the beautiful turquoise lagoon and the Indian Ocean.

This is the only resort in the entire Haa Alif and Haa Dhal Atolls of the North Maldives. Guests can choose to arrive at The Island Hideaway either by a 45-minute scenic photo-flight from the international airport at Male, private jets, or cruise their yachts to the Island's fully-equipped world class marina.

Transfer is approx 45 minutes by Seaplane followed by 20 minutes by Speedboat. (Please note these transfers only operate in daylight hours between 7am-4pm)

Funa Pavillions
Accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children and are located on the beachfront offering peace and privacy with a living area covering 176sqm. Characterised by their own garden, a separate sleeping and living area with teak flooring, open-air bathroom and a wooden patio area facing the beach with two thickly cushioned teak sun-beds, these Villas offer luxurious living facilities. Their architecture leans heavily on nature, so, too, does the colour scheme of the villas with its earthy shades of brown, beige and green. A round table with a two-seater sofa and two cocktail chairs forms the centre of the living area with its day bed. The bedroom has a super-king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe and a writing table. The bathrooms have a bath and shower tastefully decorated with granite, slate and onyx finishes.

Two Bedroom Garden Family Villa
Accommodate 5 adults or 2 adults 4 children, these are 389sqm with two separate bedrooms and located away from the beach, they do not have direct access to the beach, however they have a reserved private beach located within a 3-4 minute walk, they also feature a separate living room, Jacuzzi and covered kids pool.

Raamba Retreat Villas
Accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, are even more luxurious than the Funa Pavillions. They offer the same facilities as above but are much larger (385sqm), with an open floor level outdoor terrace and landscaped gardens, plus the en-suite Bathroom has an indoor and outdoor bathing facilities and a ‘two-person’ hand-crafted bath. They are all located along the beachfront.

Donakhuli Jacuzzi Residences
Accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, these Villas and very large (550sqm) offering the ultimate in luxury and space. The French windowed spacious bedrooms overlook the generously proportioned outdoor jacuzzi splash pool (2.5m X 4m). They additionally have an open air outdoor dining pavillion and roof terrace to eat and drink under the stars!

Jasmine Garden Villas
Accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children are vast in size (705sqm) and offer an exclusive 9.5m x 4m private infinity swimming pool and a garden area. There is a seperate guest toilet and shower room, a floating dining pavillion situated on a "mini island" that floats on top of the pool and a roof terrace

Hideaway Water Suites
Accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, spread over 235sqm on stilts over the ocean. They have there own exclusive oceanview treatment room, sauna, steam, outdoor shower, an over water jacuzzi whirlpool, a sundeck with lagoon access and a team of dedicated spa specialists. A private motorised boat is available for your own use.

Extensive Children's Activities include:

YOUNG CHEF’S CERTIFICATES
• Once a week – every Monday
• Maximum group 6 Children – minimum age – 5yo
• Time – 4pm
• The Day before the child is briefed about the event by kids club staff at
4pm
• Provided with Chef Apron and cap
• The Child goes thru health & hygiene check and is briefed about the day by the Executive Chef
• The Group goes to Bakery and prepares a chocolate cake
• While the cake is being baked they go to the cold kitchen and prepare
Sushi/Sashimi
• Once the food is prepared they receive the recipe from the chef
• They have to sign a fake document to state that they will not make the
recipe public or give it a new name as THERE IS A COPY RIGHT on it.
• The Child is given a certificate signed by the General Manager and
Executive Chef.
• The Food items are served to the parents at the restaurant during dinner
time. Butler will pick up the food from kitchen, along with child will serve
it to the parents


YOUNG MARINE BIOLOGIST
• Once a week - every Sunday
• Maximum group 6 Children – minimum age 8yo
• Time-5 PM
• A 15 minutes briefing about the importance to preserve environment,
Marine life etc done at the Dive Centre
• The Group spend 30 minutes under water being shown the Coral and the
damage to some and how they are reviving back
• The child is given a certificate signed by the General Manager and the dive
centre
• Total Time: Approx 1 hour

YOUNG ENVIRONMENTALIST
• Once a week – Every Thursday
• Maximum Group size 12 Children - minimum age 4yo
• Time 10 AM
• The Kids are briefed about the various types of trees available in Maldives
• The Group goes for a 1 hour walk and are shown the various trees and
given a brief about the trees
• Certificate given to all Kids Signed by GM

Dhonakulhi has its own house reef 10-30 metres away
No commercial diving activity in this Virgin Atoll - Haa Alifu. Over 20 fabulous untouched dive sites within a 5-60 minute range. Fully-equipped diving school managed by Meridis Dive, with the latest diving technology and branded equipment.
