Naladhu offers two romantic house types, each offering identical amenities and luxurious comforts, but with two distinct vantage points. Guests looking for their own stretch of pristine white beach will revel in the Beach Houses, facing the tranquil beach and lagoon side of the island. Meanwhile the Ocean Houses provide an evocative view over the rolling Indian Ocean, with hardwood deck stretching out into the lapping waves, and a live soundtrack of the tides creating a romantic symphony for your Maldives holiday.

THE BEDROOM
The largest room in the house, the bedroom manages to be both expansive and intimate, with high vaulted ceilings of free-flowing space, contrasted with cozy corners for reading, lounging, writing or enjoying the house's home theatre system. White-washed timber wall panels combined with brilliant Indian and Sri Lankan motifs and fabrics, hints of local colour. Antique furnishings, conjure up images of a romantic, bygone age. Intricate carvings on the wooden shutters above the daybed let in the perfect amount of island sunlight. At night, the sublime feather mattress on the oversized king bed, featuring elegant hardwood and rattan fittings, and 300-thread count cotton bed linens coax the sweetest of dreams as you fall asleep to the ebb and flow of the Indian Ocean just steps away. With natural fluidity, the hardwood floors of the bedroom give way to the infinity-edged pool, accessed through sliding glass doors an impeccable fusion of wood, water and light.

Every house is outfitted with Wi-fi capabilities to keep you connected, while a Bose home theatre system and LCD satellite TV are the perfect accompaniment to laid-back evenings at home. And if the lapping ocean waves aren't enough, create the perfect soundtrack with the in-room iPod and surround-sound stereo system.

THE POOL
Total privacy. A midnight dip under the stars. Toasting a picture-perfect sunset over the lagoon. The infinity-edge pool is an integral feature of your House seamlessly blending wood, light, air and water. Sliding doors off the bedroom give way to the clear waters of the pool, as do the hardwood floors of the bath and deck. Meanwhile, the surrounding gardens, lush with native Maldivian flowering plants and island greenery, remind you that you're firmly ensconced in paradise. Delight in your secluded pool, where the view of the lapping waters melds with the ocean, lagoon and horizon.

BATHROOM
Feel the interplay of fresh island air and the soothing pulse of water in your house's luxuriously appointed al fresco bathing pavilion. Cool hardwood and terracotta floors below and ceiling fans gently whirring above. Choices abound. Unwind in a romantic outdoor bath while gazing out to an endless moonlit sea. Or, cross playful flagstone steps between the dual mirrored vanities to the outdoor waterfall shower, shaded by bougainvillea and frangipani.

At the opposite end of the pavilion, by the plunge pool, be at one with the island's rhythm in the delightful outdoor soaking tub sprinkled with rose petals. Allow all your tensions to melt away with the thermal healing of your private steam room and shower, while you savour the view of the tropical surrounds.
Your bath features delightfully aromatic elixirs by L'Occitane, ultra-plush oversized terrycloth towels, scented candles and a daybed for lounging between soaks in the tub. This may become your favourite room in the house.

THE LIVING ROOM
For those who wish to mingle with their fellow Naladhu residents while basking in the gentle Maldivian island breeze, The Living Room offers an al fresco dining experience overlooking the splendid lagoon. Dinners centre o­n a table d'hôte concept featuring our chef's daily selection of inventive Asian and Western cuisines based o­n the daily market selection. A highlight of The Living Room is its featured wine cellar, perfect for informal wine tastings.

IN-HOUSE DINING
Satisfy tastes ranging from the classic to the eccentric, any time of day or night. Dine in privacy o­n your terrace, under the stars or the sun. Enjoy a villa barbecue, complete with your own chef and House Master. Or, for the true romantic, surprise your loved o­ne and organise a champagne breakfast.
