180 bungalows and villas are dotted throughout the island within foliage from the beach. Every one of the villas and rooms are a symphony of good taste and glorious space, orchestrated with the harmony of polished wood floors, high timber-clad ceilings and antique style wooden furniture. SUPERIOR ROOMS
38 Spacious double storey, four room houses built in graceful colonial style with each room having a private beach view terrace or balcony. Each is 78 sq metre and have 2 daybeds (1 in room, 1 in terrace). The bedroom leads to a bright, spacious bathroom partly open to the sky with two washbasins, open air shower & garden, glass walled shower, free standing bathtub.

DELUXE ROOMS
Aesthetically situated at the edge of the sea or inset with a garden in front. Open air showers and a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. Cozy and intimate. Each of the 39 rooms are 50 sq metre. Bathrooms are partially open air with shower and garden and free standing bathtub.

DELUXE BUNGALOWS
This is the signature accommodation that sets the theme of Kurumba Maldives. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size four-poster bed, a day bed, and a window wall with a view of the beach and the ocean. Dressing room with walkin wardrobe. Luxurious bathroom complete with two washbasins, a glass-walled shower, a free-standing bathtub, and an open-air sand and stone floored shower garden. The 74 Individual bungalows are situated on the beach and are 74 sq metres.

GARDEN VILLA
The 10 Garden Villas are 103 sq metre with a bedroom with a king size bed adjoining a sitting room and a verandah. A patio at the entrance, bathroom with a glass walled shower, marble bath tub and an open courtyard complete with a “Rain Shower” under a traditional thatched awning. The Garden Villa looks over beautifully manicured gardens.

PRIVATE VILLAS
The 6 Private Villas are 103 sq metres with a king size four poster bed adjoining a sitting room and a verandah. A patio at the entrance, bathroom with a glass walled shower, marble bath tub and an open courtyard complete with a "Rain Shower" under a traditional thatched awning. The Private Villas come with a choice of Beach Front or Garden Front, while the former is just a few steps from the Lagoon and the Open Sea , the latter looks over beautifully manicured gardens.

POOL VILLAS
The 8 Villas are 200 sq metres and are equipped with an enchanting bedroom with a four poster king size bed, a sitting room and verandah and a private swimming pool complete with Jacuzzi in a garden of flowers and therapeutic stones. There is a graceful waterfall, a lush open-air shower and a daybed for two set in a thatched roof pavilion. The private courtyard has an exclusive entrance from the beach or through the villa's bathroom.

PRESIDENTIAL VILLA
Each of the 4 Villas is 255 sq metre and is dedicated to Luxury and relaxation, the Presidential Villas are tastefully constructed to ensure your privacy. A Grand Bedroom on the Upper level with a King Size Four poster Bed overlooks the beach and ocean. The level also sports a walk-in dressing room and a bathroom with separate glass-walled shower and central marble-sided bathtub, plus an outside patio with Jacuzzi set in a thatched-roof tower. A large sitting room off the beachfront veranda on the Ground floor, this plush Duplex Suite also boats of a luxurious private swimming pool in a private interior courtyard.

ROYAL KURUMBA RESIDENCE
The ultimate in luxurious living, this two bedroom suite with two swimming pools and a spacious sundeck over the beach, the Royal Kurumba Residence has proved a favourite with heads of state. Entrance is through a courtyard by a bridge over an ornamental pool with a thatched pavilion and daybeds on either side. A patio gives access to a foyer and huge sitting room, complete with butler's pantry and guest washroom.

Doors on either side of the foyer open into the two wings of the Royal Residence; each wing has a walk-in dressing room, opulent bedroom with king-size four-poster bed, veranda onto the beach, and a large, luxurious bathroom leading to a private courtyard with swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, outside shower, and shaded king-size daybed.

With nine different restaurants offering seven cuisines to choose from, the Kurumba Maldives is a gourmet experience like no other in the Maldives . An intimate candlelit dinner for two on the beach or an indulgent evening in a speciality restaurant or a grand buffet. You are spoilt for choice. And then you can dance the night away at the beach bar where five nights a week a band is in attendance.

VIHAMANA - MAIN RESTAURANT
Gourmet buffets for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. With a different theme buffet every night the restaurant offers all Full and Half Board guests some of the best cuisine options to choose from. Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Lebanese, Italian to name a few. Friday afternoons are Brunch by the seaside and Sunday evening a surprise thrown in every now and then. Vihamana is always a fresh experience. The Restaurant is also available to all bed and breakfast and Room only guests.

THE OCEAN GRILL
Located on the edge of the beach with an overwater deck offering a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean. Prime cuts of beef, fresh lobster from the lobster pond are highlights of a varied menu. All bar-be-cued to your taste in a display kitchen.

HAMAKAZEE
Sushi Bar and Teppen - Yaki counter serving a unique style of cuisine from the Land of The Rising Sun . With a selection of Octopus, Tuna, Salmon, Ell and much more the Hamakaze serve the choicest selection of Sushi and Sahsimi. Sip on a selection of Hot Or Cold sake as the Chef creates one culinary presentation after another on the grill and on to your plate. The Hamakaze is located right next to the Ocean Grill and the Lobster pond.

AL QASR
Come savour a fare from the mystical Middle East. Grand palatial décor does justice to its name, Al Qasr - The Palace. Set with Arabic and other artefacts from the Middle East the Al Qasr serves traditional Lebanese specialities. Charcoal grilled meats, succulent kebabs, mezze and a variety of dips and pastes.

KURUMBA MAHAL
Cuisine from the royal kitches of North India. Succulent tandoories, curries - some spicy, other subtle, Naan and Paratta breads and luscious desserts make for a dinner fit for a Maharaja.

MING COURT
The Specialty Chinese Restaurant serving oriental delicasies from the Mainland. The Chef serves up superb selections from the Canton and Schezuan regions. With a soft waterfall on one side and a plant garden on another, marble tables and tasteful décor, the restaurant has a very contemporary and cozy look.

GOLDEN COWRIE
Fine Italian cuisine. In an elegant, classical setting. Pesce, proscuitto, jambone, fromaggio. A variety of pastas and risottos. In the flavours of Tuscany and Lombardy, Sardinia and Sicily. Sensuous, full bodied Italian wines. Sinful Tiramisu. Bon Apetito!

NEPTUNE COFFEE SHOP
Located right opposite the pool this is a laidback all day dining restaurant. From a selection of A la carte breakfast items to international favourites and light snacks the coffee shop is the perfect place to grab a quick bite or a small meal. Pastas, sandwiches, burgers, children's menu and select beverages are available at the coffee shop for every taste through the day till late at night.

THE BEAH BAR
The place to chill! Whether you are on the overwater deck gazing at the horizon over a leisurely, meandering lunch or at the stars over fine wine. Or dancing the night away on the classy wooden floor next to the bar inside. The selection of champagne, wines, spirits and liquors here is celestic and vast. A live band is in attendance five nights a week.

SCUBA DIVING
With popular dive sites in close proximity, Kurumba is a favourite with scuba divers. Beginners are especially welcome and an open divers licence could be obtained in a week's diving. The resort's dive school is run to the exacting standard of PADI, with both Maldivian and foreign diving instructors.

House Reef
The depths of the stunning turquoise sea around Kurumba Village are home to coral growing on ancient volcanic mountains. The island’s surrounding reef – the House Reef is a magnificent, living ecosystem, just off the Kurumba Lagoon.

The Kurumba House Reef invites exploration, as have all coral reefs since Darwinian times. Go through the protective water breakers around the lagoon to reach the Reef Wall. Swimming above it at high tide, enjoy the brilliant visual of the reef below.

The top of the Kurumba House Reef is approx. 1-2 metres deep and slopes down from there to 10 – 30m (80m on the south side) from the edge. The Kurumba Wall slopes down to 20 – 40 meters where the sandy bottom begins. Progressing a little at a time you will discover the wonders of the house reef: millions of years of coral growth forming an island that teems with life both above and below the waters.

Life in the House Reef
Sea creatures abound in the Kurumba Reef - ancient Hawksbill Turtles, shy Sharks, sought after Bluefin Tuna - busily maintaining underwater ecology.

Reef guides in print are available at the souvenir shop and there are fish posters outside the shop and in the diving school. The staff in the diving school will be happy to answer your questions about the underwater environment.
